Successful MPH students in health economics and human resource for heath concentration tracks graduated on 12 March 2017 in the presence of Dr. Getachew Tolera (Director, Human Resource Development & Administration Directorate), invited guests and families.
The Malaria Research Network is established to foster malaria research and sharing of research outputs timely to malaria prevention and control stakeholders in Ethiopia. The Network is coordinated by the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) and supported by ACIPH SMMES Project through USAID funding. The 8th Malaria Research Network Symposium was conducted at the EPHI’s State-of-the –Art conference facility in Addis Ababa. It was attended by more than 100 participants that come from universities, research institutes, government agencies and non-government organizations that are actively engaged in malaria prevention and control, and in malaria related research. During the 20 oral presentations and 3 poster presentations were made. The business meeting held at the end of the scientific session also outlined the feature direction of the Malaria Research Network and decided on the data and venue of the 9th symposium. Accordingly, Gondar University will host it in Gondar town from November 27 – 28, 2017.
