ACIPH has a very strong and long standing collaboration with MIRT program at the Harvard School of Public Health in the U.S. This summer was no different where three students has a short attachment at ACIPH. Students participated in research and other related activities during their stay in Addis Ababa. They also had opportunities to visit some historic places
Two concurrent trainings: "Basic data analysis and interpretation using STATA" and "Advanced data analysis and interpretation using STATA" were carried out by ACIPH from July 13-18, 2015 in Bahir Dar. The Basic Data analysis training focused on the fundamental techniques in analyzing and interpreting data using the statistical software STATA. It introduced participants to basic STATA commands; how to apply basic STATA commands to analyze survey data; and interpret the results of statistical analysis of survey data; with additional emphasis given to the value of data management to programs and its role in decision making process. The participants for this training were from different organization including Family Health Ethiopia, Pathfinder International, and Ethiopian Public Health Institute. The advanced data analysis training was organized for partners working alongside ACIPH on the Strengthening Malaria Monitoring and Evaluation Systems (SMMES) project. The participants for the training were staff members from Ethiopian public Health Institute (EPHI) and Ministry of Health (MoH). Facilitators for the trainings include: Prof. Joe Keating from Tulane University SPHTM, Prof. Alemayehu Worku, Ms. Hanna Yemane and Mr. Walelegn Worku from ACIPH.
