Monitoring and Evaluation Workshop

ACIPH has successfully conducted an 8 days training on Monitoring and evaluation for Addis Ababa Regional Health bureau(AAHRB) staff starting from September 21st, 2015. The goal of the training was to strengthen the capacity of participants to conduct M&E related activities.

The primary objective of this workshop was to describe the basic concepts and practical approaches for performance monitoring and evaluation for health programs, implement tools and techniques used specifically to HIV AND AIDS programs and understand how to implement M&E plans in a way that produces high quality data that may inform policy and program decision making.

Sixteen participants; eight from different sub-city health offices and eight from AARHB, gained concrete experience in designing monitoring and evaluation plans through practical exercises, case studies, and working in small groups throughout the workshop. The participants worked in groups of three to develop and present an M&E plan for a selected health program on the final day of the workshop. This was especially important to them as it gave them a glimpse of what the actual experience of developing an M&E plan.


Data quality and analysis for primary health care unit personnel

ACIPH has conducted a 5 days training on data quality and analysis training for primary health care unit data personnel. The training was conducted from August 31 to September 4, 2015 at Addis Continental Training and Research center in Bahir Dar. Thirty participants from different health centers attended the training.The training will improve the quality of data generated at primary health centers and Furthermore help health centers analys their own data and use it for decision making
