Strengthening Malaria and Evaluation Systems (SMMES) of the Ethiopian program is a project funded by the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) and implemented by the Addis Continental Institute of Public Health (ACIPH), which is an independent center of excellence for public health research and training in Africa. One of the project’s aims was to conduct operational research.
The PMI-SMMES project in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH), Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), and Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) has held a successful dissemination workshop on May 20, 2022, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the findings of researches on “Primaquine Safety and tolerability when used for a radical cure” and “A cluster-randomized trial to evaluate the effect of tMDA and RCD in malaria elimination”. Government officials, senior and junior researchers, invited guests from different universities, and malaria partner organizations attended the workshop.
