Strengthening Leadership for Maternal and Neonatal Health
From September 22–24, 2025, ESOG, in collaboration with the Addis Continental Institute of Public Health, convened hospital managers from across the Addis Ababa City Administration (AACA) for intensive leadership training. Participants included Medical Directors (CEOs/CCDs), Heads of OB/GYN Departments, and Heads of Labor & Delivery Wards.
The training built on the principles of the FIGO LDI\:REACH program, supported by the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO), and focused on strengthening managerial capacity to advance maternal and neonatal health outcomes. By equipping senior hospital leaders with the knowledge and leadership tools to implement evidence-based interventions, the initiative is fostering stronger institutional systems and more responsive maternal health services across Addis Ababa.
