About Course

This course will strengthen quantitative data analysis and interpretation skills that lead to the delivery of more advanced M&E services and increased use of high-quality data for health policy and program decision making. The course will include sessions on: key concepts in data analysis; basic analysis; getting started with STATA/SPSS; descriptive information and statistics; statistical tests; reading, labeling and recording data; sub-setting data; collapsing data across observations; and interpretation of data analysis. No previous knowledge of the statistical software is needed. Attendees will gain hands-on experience in data analysis and interpretation as we will be using a real time dataset and will be doing lots of exercises, and working individually and in small groups throughout the workshop.
